This program offers a nurturing and guided space to tend to your grief through the wisdom of the whole self - body, mind, heart, and spirit.
Blending grief-informed meditation therapy, breathwork, somatic awareness, and reflective inquiry, the program provides a compassionate pathway to move gently through the waves of grief. Together, these practices help you find steadiness amid emotional turbulence, guiding you back to presence, breath, and the quiet knowing that you are held, even in sorrow.
Within this program, you will explore a variety of meditation styles, each designed to engage different parts of your grief. Some meditations help you connect with emotions held deeply in the heart, others guide you to witness thoughts and mental patterns, while others open the body to release tension or invite a sense of spiritual connection. Each practice has its own purpose, offering tools to navigate grief from multiple perspectives, and helping you move through it with greater ease and understanding.
This is a space where all parts of your grief are welcome. You are invited to meet what feels heavy, while also resting in moments of stillness, softness, and peace. Through mindful awareness and embodied practice, you’ll begin to sense how grief moves within you, how it opens the heart, and how it calls to the spirit.
As you learn to listen to all parts of yourself with self-compassion, you may also find space to reconnect with parts of yourself that were hidden, and you might also be able to connect with your loved one, not in the way that once was, but in a quiet, enduring sense of presence and love that continues beyond form.
This program is designed for anyone navigating loss, whether recent or long ago, and who longs to understand, process, and integrate their grief on a deeper level. It offers a gentle and compassionate pathway to move through sorrow, discover healing within, and reconnect with the life that continues.
Program Structure: 6 Classes | 6 Weeks | 2 Hours per Week
Throughout the program, you can expect:
Weekly Theme Exploration / Dharma Talk
Classes begin by introducing a meaningful theme that touches on grief, growth, and the journey toward healing. These reflections provide gentle guidance and thoughtful insights, inviting you to explore your grief with compassion and awareness.
Guided Grief Meditation Therapy
You will be led through grief-informed meditation practices designed to calm the nervous system, create space to observe thoughts and emotions without judgment, and cultivate inner stillness. Different meditation styles are used, each with a unique purpose, helping you connect with various aspects of your grief.
Journalling and Personal Reflection
Following meditation, time is dedicated to journalling and personal reflection. This allows you to articulate your thoughts, release emotions, and engage with grief on a deeper level. Prompts and guidance support your self-exploration and conscious processing of feelings.
Online Group Connection / Sharing
Participants are invited to share their reflections and insights within a safe and compassionate private online group. This space fosters empathy, mutual support, and the understanding that grief is a shared human experience. You are not alone in your journey.
Relaxation and Integration
Each session concludes with guided relaxation and integration, providing space to rest, absorb the teachings, and reconnect with inner calm. This practice helps consolidate the experiences of body, mind, heart, and spirit, leaving you with a sense of grounding, balance, and wholeness.

Grief Meditation Therapist: Melissa Lindsay
Melissa is a qualified Mindful Grieving Yoga and Meditation Therapist and Group Facilitator, Yoga and Meditation Teacher, Creative Arts Therapist and Group Facilitator, Holistic Grief Counsellor, and a certified Sound and Vibrational Healing Practitioner. She facilitates the Grief Meditation Therapy Programs across Australia and internationally, supporting individuals through loss with compassion, presence, and expertise.
Her passion for guiding grievers comes from her own experience of profound loss after the passing of her husband. In navigating her grief, she discovered the transformative power of the holistic tools she now brings to her programs, from mindful movement and meditation to creative expression and sound therapy. These practices became lifelines in her own healing, and she now shares them to help others find solace, connection, and restoration.
Melissa provides a safe, sacred, and non-judgmental space for individuals to hold, acknowledge, and process their grief. She supports people through all kinds of loss, and through her understanding, compassion, and authenticity, she guides grievers to move gently through their grief, while still holding the love and memories that loss carries. Her work helps individuals reconnect with their inner wisdom, cultivate resilience, and discover moments of peace and healing amidst sorrow.
