The Retreat Venue

Immersed in the lush Noosa Hinterland Rainforest and nestled amongst the trees, this luxurious retreat offers a tranquil haven for those navigating grief. Held by the stillness of the rainforest, the space invites you to move at your own pace, offering rest, quiet reflection, and gentle reconnection.

This hideaway provides a deeply nurturing atmosphere where comfort meets the quiet beauty of nature. With multiple spaces to unwind, you can simply be, whether inside the peaceful interiors or outside on the decks or grassed areas, surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest.

This retreat venue has been chosen with deep intention. Set within a living rainforest, it is a gentle sanctuary that invites you to slow down, breathe more deeply, tend to your grief, and come home to yourself. There is a simplicity here that feels grounding, like a soft return to what matters most. With its warm, comforting design and soulful atmosphere, the space holds you within a gentle cocoon.

Surrounded by towering trees, birdsong, fresh air, and stillness, it offers a supportive backdrop for the aching, yet sacred experience of grief. Here, time softens. Space opens. And there is permission to simply rest, feel, and move gently through whatever arises, held by the natural world and the quiet strength of the rainforest.

Only 25 minutes from Sunshine Coast - Maroochydore Airport, and 15 minutes from Hastings Street and Noosa National Park in Noosa Heads.

Where grief is felt, witnessed, and honoured with love, healing takes root, and transformation softly follows.

What’s Included:

  • 4 nights’ accommodation at a luxurious rainforest wellness retreat venue.

  • 3 fresh and nourishing meals daily (breakfast, lunch, dinner & dessert), plus morning tea and afternoon tea, catering to all dietary requirements.

  • Full use of the property facilities, including a heated pool, sauna, ice bath, and fire pit.

  • Daily and evening grief-informed sessions, including mindful grieving yoga therapy, meditation, art therapy, and sound and vibrational therapy within the yoga studio and out in nature.

  • 90-minute sound immersion healing session.

  • Daily sacred group circle / connection sessions.

  • 60-minute relaxation massage.

  • Aromatherapy workshop - create your own scent using essential oils.

  • Campfire gathering and stargazing.

  • One-on-one sessions/conversations, and compassionate support through the entire retreat.

  • Peaceful spaces for personal reflection and restoration.

  • Assistance in planning travel to and from the retreat, and suggestions of where to stay and things to do and see if staying longer on the Sunshine Coast.

  • 60-minute post-retreat debriefing session (via video call).

The Accommodation

Peaceful and beautifully curated accommodation set within a tranquil natural setting, offering a calm and restorative place to stay. The interiors blend relaxed coastal charm with soft, natural textures, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately feels grounding, comfortable, and gently uplifting. There is a sense of being cared for here, a nurturing environment where you can soften, rest deeply, and feel supported throughout your retreat experience.

The retreat venue features light-filled rooms, natural finishes, and subtle design details that complement the surrounding rainforest. The overall feel is understated yet elegant, with a sense of quiet comfort and gentle luxury throughout.

There is a range of rooms and bedding configurations available, including a couple of private rooms and twin shared rooms, with options including king, queen, and king single beds.

The Facilities

The retreat venue is designed to support your grief journey with spaces that invite rest, reflection, and renewal. Guests can unwind in the sauna, a warm and grounding space that encourages deep relaxation and gentle release. For contrast and revitalisation, the ice bath offers an invigorating reset, helping to awaken the body and calm the mind. The heated pool is perfect for slow swims, quiet reflection, or simply floating under open skies.

The stunning fire pit area is a space to share conversation, sit in stillness, or simply enjoy the crackle of the fire beneath the stars. Surrounded by the peaceful natural environment, each of these spaces has been designed to support both restoration and connection, allowing guests to move between warmth, coolness, stillness, and presence at their own pace.

Meet Melissa – Founder of Holistic Grief Wellness / Rise Through Grief Retreat Facilitator

Melissa is the heart and soul behind Holistic Grief Wellness, a space born from her own deeply personal encounter with profound loss. After the sudden passing of her beloved husband in 2021, Melissa embarked on a life-changing path of healing and self-discovery. Her grief cracked her open, but it also awakened a powerful calling to help others who are walking a similar path.

As she searched for retreats that honoured the full experience of grief, ones rooted in holistic healing and led by qualified, compassionate professionals, Melissa discovered a gap. She noticed how limited and rare these spaces were. Inspired to help fill that need, she created a supportive, sacred environment where grievers are welcomed just as they are, embraced with compassion, and offered practices to gently nurture the mind, body, and soul.

Melissa brings together lived experience and extensive professional training. She is a qualified Holistic Grief Counsellor, Creative Arts Therapist and Group Facilitator, Mindful Grieving Yoga Therapist and Group Facilitator, Yoga and Meditation Teacher, and Sound and Vibrational Healing Practitioner. With deep empathy and authenticity, she walks alongside those navigating the heartbreak of loss, offering comfort, insight, and gentle guidance.

She believes strongly in the mind-body-spirit connection and in the power of community. Through group storytelling, creative expression, somatic movement, and stillness, Melissa helps grievers reconnect with themselves and others in meaningful ways. She knows how consuming grief can be, and she’s here to remind you that healing is possible.

Meet Misty – Retreat Support & Aromatherapist

At the centre of your retreat experience is compassionate, holistic support, offered with deep care and presence. Misty brings over a decade of experience as a palliative care nurse, walking alongside individuals and families through some of life’s most tender moments. She is also the founder of White Elm, providing bereavement support and end-of-life care.

Her presence at the retreat is rooted in genuine understanding, both personal and professional, of the many shapes grief can take. With a background in holistic counselling and aromatherapy, Misty gently weaves together evidence-based care and intuitive support to create a space where you can feel safe, seen, and deeply nurtured. Her approach honours the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of grief, allowing you to move through your healing journey at your own pace.

Throughout your time at the retreat, Misty offers a steady, compassionate presence, holding space for your grief, your stories, and your healing. With warmth and wisdom, she ensures that you are not alone, but deeply supported as you reconnect with yourself and begin to gently rediscover a sense of wholeness.
