Retreat Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing to be part of the Rise Through Grief Retreat. To ensure clarity and mutual understanding, please take a moment to read through the following terms and conditions.

Booking and Payment

  • Full payment or a deposit is required to secure your place on the retreat.

  • If you secure your place with a deposit at the early bird rate, the remaining balance must be paid before the early bird rate ends and the standard rate begins. If your place is secured at the standard rate, the full remaining balance is due no later than two weeks before the retreat commences.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • If you are unable to attend the retreat, deposits and/or payments are non-refundable. This policy is in place due to the nature of retreat planning, accommodation commitments, and the intimate group size. The only exception is if the retreat is fully booked and another participant can take your place. In that case, you will be eligible for a refund. Every effort will be made to fill your space so we can issue you a refund.

  • If for any reason, the retreat must be cancelled by the host (Melissa Lindsay / Holistic Grief Wellness), you will receive a full refund of any payments made. Please note that we are not responsible for any travel costs incurred.

Travel & Insurance

  • Travel to and from the retreat venue is not included. You are responsible for arranging your own transport.

  • We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances, including illness, flight cancellations, or personal emergencies.

Health & Wellbeing

  • This retreat is a supportive and nurturing environment, but it is not a replacement for one-on-one therapy or medical care.

  • By attending, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own wellbeing and that you have disclosed any important health or mental health conditions in advance, so appropriate support can be considered.

  • If you are currently experiencing an acute mental health crisis, this retreat may not be suitable, and we encourage you to seek professional support first.

  • To support a deeper and more meaningful healing experience, this retreat is completely alcohol-free. To help process and shift grief, it’s important to stay present and connected, and this choice allows all participants to remain grounded in themselves and the process while ensuring a safe and respectful space for everyone attending.

Retreat Environment

  • We ask all participants to respect the confidentiality, emotional safety, and shared vulnerability of the group.

  • Kindness, compassion, and non-judgment are essential to creating a safe and sacred space for all.

By booking your place, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
