Grief is a natural response to loss or significant life changes. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, as everyone experiences it differently. Grief may also be delayed, surfacing long after a loss occurs, and can manifest in physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual ways.
How Holistic Grief Counselling Works
Holistic grief counselling honours the whole of who you are, recognising that grief lives within the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Each part of your being carries loss in its own way and calls for its own form of care. By tending to your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, this approach creates a compassionate space for your grief to be held and witnessed, supporting your journey towards healing. It restores inner balance and deepens your connection to self, meaning, and the spiritual aspect of your experience.
As someone who has personally navigated deep grief, I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to my practice. Through my own journey, I have explored, refined, and integrated a wide range of holistic tools and practices, from mindful movement, meditation, and creative expression to reflective and somatic-based approaches that have supported me through my grief and into healing. These practices now shape my counselling approach, allowing me to offer guidance grounded in both personal understanding and professional insight.
I offer holistic grief counselling sessions, and for those open to exploring additional supportive practices, sessions can also incorporate yoga therapy, meditation therapy, and art therapy. By integrating these holistic approaches into the counselling process, support is tailored to your unique needs, creating a personalised and meaningful pathway to process your grief and move towards healing. This approach nurtures self-compassion, mindfulness, self-care, and spiritual awareness, all of which are essential for navigating grief.
I provide a nurturing, non-clinical, and safe space where you are supported to explore your thoughts and emotions, process your grief, and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels authentic and aligned with your personal journey.
